Overview:

MacTaggart Scott is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Head of Supply Chain, who will report directly to the Commercial Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of the MacTaggart Scott Supply Chain function, ensuring optimal supplier performance and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Supply Chain strategy, aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead the development of a best-in-class procurement function, ensuring cost savings, improved supplier relationships, and enhanced supply chain resilience.
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements that meet the company's needs.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management, highlighting key supply chain metrics and trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge and expertise to drive continuous improvement within the supply chain function.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a business, procurement, or related field.
  • CIPS qualified minimum level 4.
  • Full existing membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
  • Senior management experience, including leadership of a team and a proven track record of delivering results in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and develop staff members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
