Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our vibrant and friendly paediatric team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to children and young people, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for children and young people, working within the framework of team Paediatric nursing.
  • Act with compassion, putting children, young people, and their parents at the centre of all care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their carers regarding their care and educate patients where necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Show commitment to sustaining and developing clinical competence and professional awareness.
  • Provide supervision, support, and education to unqualified staff and students.
  • Work variable hours to fulfill the needs of the department.
  • Show courage by embracing new ways of working and doing the right thing by the children and young people you care for, including speaking up when you have concerns.
Person Specification
  • Registered RNC on sub part 1 of the professional NMC register.
  • Can demonstrate a specific interest in children and young people nursing.
  • Desirable: Experience as working on a Paediatric ward.
  • Essential: Experience of working within a Paediatric department.
