Are you a skilled paediatric nurse seeking a part-time role within a supportive and innovative healthcare team? This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 6 Charge Nurse to join our dedicated team on a 35-bedded ward, providing care for infants, children, and adolescents with diverse medical and surgical conditions.
We are looking for enthusiastic, competent, and motivated candidates who are committed to delivering exceptional holistic care to our young patients and their families. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a broad range of clinical expertise in paediatric nursing and experience in a multidisciplinary environment.

Main Responsibilities
As the Nurse in Charge, you will leverage your leadership and clinical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care through effective staff and resource management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and support to your team, serving as a role model and resource for advice.
- Collaborating with all members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care in the best interests of patients and their families.
- Mentoring and supervising both qualified and unqualified staff, aiding in their clinical and managerial skill development.
- Working closely with the Ward Manager and Matron to identify and report incidents affecting patient care.
- Ensuring patient safety through appropriate delegation of care to skilled nursing staff.
- Assisting in other paediatric wards or departments as needed based on clinical demands.
- Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical competence.
This role requires flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the ward. Our nursing team is dedicated and supportive, ensuring that new members receive comprehensive training tailored to their skills and competencies.
