Position Overview

Field Sales Engineer - Midlands & North - Sensors & Instrumentation

We are seeking a dedicated Field Sales Engineer to join a reputable provider of sensor and instrumentation solutions, catering to sectors such as automotive, construction, aerospace, and rail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the territory above Milton Keynes and should have experience in roles such as Business Development Engineer, Business Development Manager, Regional Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager, Technical Sales, or Territory Sales Manager.

Compensation Package:

Salary Range - £50,000 - £60,000

On-Target Earnings - 20% of base salary based on performance (Quarterly bonuses and an annual bonus for exceeding targets are included)

Company vehicle or car allowance

Pension scheme

Company mobile phone and laptop

Key Responsibilities:

  • This is a newly created role within the organization, focusing on the Midlands and North, reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
  • You will receive support from a well-established internal team, including Applications Engineers and Internal Sales Engineers.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the company's current business portfolio while identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • You will also manage several key accounts, seeking opportunities for upselling.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in external sales or business development is essential.
  • Experience in selling sensors, instrumentation, or related products is required.
  • A technical background or relevant technical qualification is preferred.
  • Experience in sectors such as automotive, rail, aerospace, or subsea would be highly beneficial.
