Ashfield House Surgery is situated in a suburban area, providing healthcare services to a diverse population of approximately 6000 patients, including both elderly individuals and young families.
We are in search of a committed and enthusiastic Salaried GP to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical, communication, and organizational abilities, and will contribute positively to our ongoing practice development. We are dedicated to supporting the successful applicant with any necessary further training.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for a range of standard GP tasks, which include:
- Conducting face-to-face consultations
- Performing home visits
- Managing telephone consultations
- Issuing prescriptions
- Reviewing laboratory reports
- Handling administrative paperwork with designated protected time
We are looking for a GP to join our practice for 4 to 7 sessions weekly, with flexible working days to ensure comprehensive patient coverage throughout the week.
About Our PracticeWe pride ourselves on being a supportive and forward-thinking practice, catering to a friendly patient demographic that values continuity of care. Our team is complemented by three portfolio career doctors.
Additionally, we have the support of two Advanced Nurse Practitioners, one Practice Nurse, and one Health Care Assistant. Our collaborative approach includes working with Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, and a Mental Health Practitioner, all part of our network.

The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- Full GMC registration
- Registration on the National Performers List
- Accredited GP status as a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP)
- Current experience in a GP practice setting
