Job Title: Accounts Director Designate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team as an Accounts Director Designate. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with a strong practice background to step into a senior management role and carve a path to directorship.

About the Role:
  • As an Accounts Director Designate, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Croydon branch, with a focus on review work, overseeing accounts and tax, and ensuring high standards of preparation.
  • You will work with a mix of OMBs and SMEs across various sectors, overseeing a team including managers, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Minimal audit work (around 5 audits), focusing primarily on accounts and tax.
  • Assisting with the transition of the firm's software to TaxCalc.
  • Supporting Directors and helping manage the firm's day-to-day operations with the potential to join the Board.
About You:
  • Qualifications: ACA, ICAEW, or ACCA qualified with a practicing certificate preferred.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within a practice setting. Experience with OMBs and SMEs is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, review, and management skills. Ability to guide a team and maintain high standards in accounts and tax.
  • Personality: A proactive, committed individual looking to make a long-term impact and grow with the firm.
