Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to join our Capital Delivery function at Severn Trent Water. As a key member of our Project Management Office (PMO) team, you will be responsible for organizing, developing, managing, and reporting on project plans and schedules on behalf of our programme delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and programmes in accordance with PMO planning policies and procedures
  • Work closely with design and delivery staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance with PMO planning policies and procedures
  • Develop recovery schedules and contingency plans to mitigate project risks
  • Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes
  • Conduct detailed analysis of project critical path and identify and report activities that hinder timely delivery of the capital programme

Requirements

  • Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Experience working on NEC contracts and significant experience in scheduling project and programme plans
  • Expert working knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Strong working knowledge of project and contract management and good financial and commercial awareness
