About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Older Adult Clinical Psychology team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older adults accessing our Memory Assessment and Older People's Community Mental Health Services in North Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist clinical input and support to the Memory Assessment Service (MAS) multidisciplinary team and the Older People's Community Mental Health Team (OPMH CMHT).
  • Deliver psychological and neuropsychological assessments, specialist pre and post-diagnostic counselling, psychological intervention, formulation, and group work.
  • Facilitate indirect intervention through training, supervision, and team formulation.
  • Attend clinical MDT, referral, business, and clinical leadership meetings.
  • Provide supervision to junior psychologists, assistants, and trainees.
Requirements
  • DClinPsy Qualification (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those trained overseas).
  • Significant post-qualification experience within Older Adults.
  • Experience of taking full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care, with experience of co-ordinating care within the context of multi-disciplinary care-planning.
  • Experience of specialised psychological assessment and treatment of a range of clients across a wide range of care settings.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies.
