About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Accommodation Office Team Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and inspiring a high-performing team involved in the inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal of our railway infrastructure.

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of work, establishing appropriate safety arrangements, and proactively controlling and checking the quality of work and the competence of your team members. You will also be responsible for compiling vital reports and ensuring that all assets are fully compliant and all vehicles, plant, tools, equipment, and materials are fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and inspire a high-performing team involved in the inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal of railway infrastructure
  • Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of work
  • Establish appropriate safety arrangements
  • Proactively control and check the quality of work and the competence of team members
  • Compile vital reports
  • Ensure all assets are fully compliant and all vehicles, plant, tools, equipment, and materials are fit for purpose

Requirements

  • Experience of organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions
  • A clear and inspirational leader with a strong sense of direction
  • Hold Safety Critical Competencies COSS CRP and PC
  • Hold Tr04 and Tr11 Competence

Desirable Criteria

  • Hold or be working towards an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have attained the appropriate level of knowledge gained through equivalent relevant experience
  • Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need, this may also include driving vehicles up to 7.5t and a requirement to upgrade their driving licence by undertaking additional training
  • Hold Safety Critical Competencies Strapping, NSCD (Ops) and Engineering Supervisor

Working Arrangements

This role involves days, nights, and weekend working, and is a safety-critical role so subject to drug and alcohol testing and passing of the relevant medical assessment.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £42,468 - IMC25 Contract + £975 South East Allowance.
