Job Overview
As an Enhanced Support Outreach Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance and outreach assistance to mainstream primary educational institutions. Your primary focus will be on the initial stages of education, ensuring that the diverse additional support needs of children are effectively addressed within their learning environments.
This position is integral to fostering collaboration across the Aboyne cluster of schools, necessitating flexible engagement to meet operational and service demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert advice and outreach support tailored to the unique needs of children in mainstream settings.
- Enhance the capacity of schools to accommodate a broad spectrum of additional support requirements.
- Commit to continuous improvement and quality service delivery for the benefit of the educational service and the wider organization.
Regulatory Requirements:
This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults, in accordance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Additionally, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be necessary for candidates who have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
Professional Standards:
SSSC registration must be obtained within three months of commencing employment. Due to recent changes to the SSSC and the closure of the SSSC portal, this timeline will commence from a specified date.
