About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in Erith, Kent. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating large teams in a fast-paced environment, driving business unit activities, and contributing to the development of site and regional strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence and drive business results.
  • Contribute to the development of site and regional strategies, aligning with business objectives and budgets.
  • Identify innovative ways to serve customers and improve business processes.
  • Manage team resources, prepare and justify budgets, and plan for expected volumes.
  • Communicate effectively with teams, sharing key business results, continuous improvement initiatives, and important messages regarding process, people, and Health and Safety.
  • Collaborate with support teams to achieve site and operations network targets.
  • Encourage self-improvement, training, and development of teams to support succession planning.
  • Champion continuous improvement, guiding teams to deliver initiatives that enhance customer experience.
  • Challenge and amend performance metrics to drive improvements in productivity and standards.
  • Ensure food safety mechanisms are in place to protect product quality.
  • Provide comprehensive handovers to subsequent managers, presenting operating highlights, risks, and opportunities.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent communication and numerical skills, with the ability to lead large and diverse teams. You will also have a passion for developing people, with a proven track record of spotting and nurturing talent. High levels of PC/Microsoft package literacy and experience with computerized warehouse management systems are essential. Previous experience in a 24/7 warehouse or logistics environment is highly desirable.
