About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at our Customer Fulfilment Centre in Erith, Kent. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the performance of a designated department within the warehouse, ensuring all targets are met without loss in performance to the business and within the site management structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily running of site operations, ensuring all aspects of site safety and quality of service are maintained.
- Deliver operational targets within the agreed budget and time frame, reporting to the Operations Manager.
- Manage employee performance, including probation periods, absence management, and performance management.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager as required, handling all aspects of site management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with a strong understanding of supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
