Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our team in Aylesbury. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects, from planning to completion. Your primary focus will be on site management, quality control, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with site management, technical specialists, and commercial staff to ensure project delivery meets quality and safety standards.
- Monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive records of site activities, including daily diary records, inspection and test plans, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with the project team to prepare and implement site-specific safety plans, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, designers, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Assist in preparing and implementing project schedules, resource allocation, and cost control measures.
- Ensure that all site activities are properly documented, and records are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in civil engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in project management software and tools.
