Your wellbeing is central to our mission at Outcomes First Group, which is why we are exploring innovative ways to enhance work/life balance. We are participating in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning you could potentially enjoy one less workday each week (or equivalent).

The 4DWW initiative will be implemented within our educational institution once we have a complete staff roster, making this an exciting time to join our team.

Step into the role of an Educational Support Specialist at Park School, part of Acorn Education, and embark on a fulfilling career.

  • Salary: £20,516.00 per annum - inclusive of school holidays and not pro-rata'd
  • Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Park School is an independent specialist day school catering to students aged 7 to 18, addressing a diverse range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. We emphasize teamwork to ensure positive outcomes for students who often come to us with challenging perspectives on education and life.

We are seeking an Educational Support Specialist to join our dedicated team at our new site, with the possibility of some involvement at the main school site.

The Opportunity

Embark on a rewarding educational career where you can significantly influence students' lives. Join a remarkable team committed to creating supportive and enriching environments where vulnerable students achieve beyond their expectations.

As an Educational Support Specialist, you will engage directly with the exceptional students we serve, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience. Each student possesses immense potential, and they will depend on your guidance throughout their learning journeys.

Your responsibilities will include preparing educational materials and facilitating classroom activities, offering hands-on experience while providing supervision. You will also be accountable for addressing their emotional and physical needs, supporting their growth as individuals and their engagement with the world.

Assisting students with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs is both vital and fulfilling work, and you will benefit from the extensive support provided by our highly experienced teams. As you help our students achieve meaningful progress, you will take pride in making a direct, positive impact on their lives.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek adaptable individuals ready to work in various classroom roles, both indoors and outdoors, based on individual needs. With a responsive and compassionate approach, you may lead classroom activities, facilitate outdoor experiences, or supervise students as they explore their surroundings.

Our schools thrive on collaboration and mutual support. If you enjoy being part of a dedicated team, sharing knowledge and experiences, we encourage you to complete our safeguarding-compliant application form, and a member of our team will reach out to you.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. All successful applicants will undergo a fully enhanced DBS check.

We take pride in being recognized as a 'Great Place to Work' for five consecutive years.

Why Join Acorn Education?

Benefits

Your health and wellbeing are paramount to us, which is why we offer an exceptional rewards package, including:

  • Life Assurance
  • Pension scheme with options to increase your contributions
  • "Your Wellbeing Matters" – access to a comprehensive range of mental health support services and physical health checks
