Job Title: Cost Engineer

Company Overview: KBR is seeking a dedicated Cost Engineer to join our team and be responsible for providing a comprehensive Cost Engineering framework for Major Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Framework Management: Manage the cost framework, systems, and resources to ensure effective cost control and reporting service to Project Managers and Sponsors.
  • Baseline Preparation and Monitoring: Prepare, monitor, and forecast baselines throughout all project phases.
  • Expenditure Profiles and Reporting: Prepare expenditure profiles, provide accruals as required, and generate cost reports with earned value analysis.
  • Cost Control Database Management: Maintain the cost control database, validate data, and ensure commitments are recorded within financial limits.
  • Project Outturn Estimation: Estimate the outturn value of the project and support the risk process.
  • Project Outturn Reporting: Provide project outturns against baseline for LFE and Knowledge Management.
  • Mentorship and Support: Mentor and support Assistant Cost Engineers in their professional development.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Data Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure data accuracy for all stakeholders and report any issues to relevant team members.
  • Process Compliance and Improvement: Maintain compliance with approved processes and contribute to continuous improvement of Project Controls quality and performance.
  • Collaborative Management: Follow the Collaborative Management Plan and all appropriate SLMS documents and protocols.

Requirements: KBR is looking for a Cost Engineer with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
