**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Partnerships Director to join our team at Lawes Consulting Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our global network of carrier partners, ensuring their profitability, integrity, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to allocate premiums among carriers, ensuring optimal revenue growth and risk management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including carrier partners, internal teams, and external partners.
- Lead regular steering and review meetings to secure buy-in and persuade carriers to support their endeavors in achieving commercial goals.
- Ensure the maintenance of existing underwriting capacity and its expansion to support our clients' corporate objectives.
- Supervise the timely renewal of Delegated Authority Agreements (DAA) contracts and lead initiatives to augment underwriting capacity.
- Exercise oversight and assume ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all activities under delegated authority are conducted in accordance with the terms of their DAA contracts.
- Chair Product Committee and ensure that identified actions are implemented to ensure that technical outcomes meet established criteria.
- Serve as a source of expertise, both internally and externally, in all aspects of perceived product risk.
- Ensure timely compliance with all responsibilities identified by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regarding product governance.
- Collaborate closely with all departments to contribute to the achievement of corporate and departmental objectives and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in partnership management within global MGA/Delegated Authority frameworks, preferably within the realm of general insurance.
- Robust technical skill set to effectively influence, manage, and guide critical insurance partnerships.
- Expertise in owning and supervising delegated authority activities, including technical performance, claims management, underwriting, processing, governance, and reporting.
- Sound knowledge of key risk management and general insurance principles, including familiarity with the UK/European/London markets.
