We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our team at GSL Education - London. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of practical science lessons in a dynamic and supportive secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support teachers in preparing and setting up equipment and materials for science experiments.
- Ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of science laboratories, including the organization of equipment and resources.
- Assist in the disposal of chemical and biological waste, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of science equipment and resources, ensuring they are up-to-date and suitable for practical lessons.
- Provide guidance and support to students during practical activities, emphasizing safety protocols and best practices.
- Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices is required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students is essential.
- A passion for science and education is a must.
- Relevant qualifications in science or a related field are preferred.
