The Role: Deputy Nursery Manager

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Nursery Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our established nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to implement and maintain effective policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to nursery staff, fostering a positive and supportive team dynamic.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and health/safety standards within the nursery setting.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Actively participate in initiatives aimed at continuously improving the quality of care and education provided.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior early years role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements for childcare settings.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support nursery staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Valid DBS clearance and safeguarding training.
