Deputy Nursery Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our dynamic team at Willing Care. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, supporting the Nursery Manager, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Nursery Manager in the daily management of the nursery, including staff leadership, training, and development.
  • Assist in implementing policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children and staff.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of an engaging and inclusive curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children.
  • Collaborate with the management team to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide mentorship to staff.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the nursery environment.
