Job Description

Orion Group is seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable service and repair of both in-house and third-party products within a professional workshop environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair a variety of products, including IP cameras, Smarteye cameras, Antenna - Cage, Antenna BAP, Comm Cab, Winches (dual/single/with brake versions), and Wifi boxes.
  • Provide telephone support and assist with the preparation of core products.
  • Offer basic first line remote support as designated by Line Manager.
  • Accurately record time spent, parts used, and details of work performed on all tasks.
Requirements
  • Exposure to electrical, electronic or mechanical equipment.
  • Proven ability to maintain and repair a broad range of technical equipment.
  • Basic IT and Networking experience.
  • Methodical approach to fault finding.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Recognised technical apprenticeship or HNC/HND in in electrical or electronic engineering would be desirable.
