Unlock Your Potential as a Vehicle Technician
Park's Motor Group is seeking a talented individual to join their team as an Apprentice Vehicle Technician. This exciting opportunity will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge required to become a skilled Service Technician, working with complex technology and equipment.
A Typical Day
You will be working on a variety of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles, carrying out servicing, fault finding, and repair tasks. You will also have the opportunity to operate specialist equipment and develop your problem-solving skills.
Training and Development
As part of this apprenticeship, you will attend college for one-week block releases, where you will gain theoretical knowledge and develop your skills in a classroom environment. You will also receive on-the-job training in the employer's workshop, working alongside your workplace mentor.
What You Will Learn
- On-the-job training in the employer's workshop
- Off-the-job training at college, including theoretical knowledge and skills development
- Portfolio building to record your training, experience, and skills gained throughout your apprenticeship
- Self-study and working towards the Modern Apprenticeship Framework standards for Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, including Core Skills
Requirements
The successful applicant will be confident, self-motivated, and keen to work as part of a team. They will have an interest in working in the automotive and engineering industries and a desire to fix things. A minimum of 5 National 5 qualifications, including Maths, English, and a Science, are required. Predicted grades will be taken into consideration.
