We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Conneely Group, based in London Surrounding Areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building strong relationships with site supervisors, project managers, operatives, surveyors, payroll, and other head office staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  • Planning and organizing work efficiently to meet project deadlines and deliver results.

  • Reconciling tender to works and identifying additional works to ensure accurate project costing.

  • Liaising with Site Management to co-produce monthly (and/or fortnightly) reporting to track project progress.

  • Accurately estimating and evaluating price work of operatives, making decisions on rate of pay, additional rates, and price variations to ensure project profitability.

  • Operating the fortnightly wage process for the job to ensure timely payment to operatives.

  • Identifying additional works carried out not included within the sub-contract to ensure accurate project costing.

  • Submitting variation costs to the client to ensure transparency and accuracy.

  • Quantifying and valuing materials on site to ensure accurate project costing.

  • Valuing prelims to ensure accurate project costing.

  • Assisting with the projected final accounts and costs to ensure accurate project closure.

  • Assisting with reporting on cash flow to ensure accurate project financial management.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent time-keeping and working to deadlines to ensure project delivery.

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in project work.

  • Able to contribute to team meetings to ensure effective collaboration and communication.

  • Able to build relationships with site operatives and negotiate sub-contractor pay to ensure project profitability.

  • Effective personal organizational skills to ensure efficient project management.

  • Able to adjust personal style to suit varying situations to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  • Literacy and advanced numeracy to ensure accurate project costing and financial management.

  • IT skills including all Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to ensure efficient project management and data analysis.

  • A commercial approach to work to ensure project profitability and success.

  • Willing to travel to ensure effective project delivery and collaboration.

  • Enjoys working with people from different professional and trade backgrounds to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
