Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity to become part of the Band 6 Physiotherapy rotational program within our esteemed healthcare facilities.

The selected candidate will engage in a comprehensive rotational scheme, gaining experience across various clinical environments tailored to the evolving demands of our physiotherapy services. This role is an excellent chance to build upon the foundational skills acquired at Band 5 while enhancing leadership capabilities and clinical knowledge.

The incumbent will conduct thorough physiotherapeutic evaluations of patients presenting with a wide array of complex physical and psychological conditions, enabling accurate diagnoses and the formulation of personalized treatment plans.

Participation in the Respiratory on-call service is required, following a structured induction process. The team operates across a 7-day week, including evenings, managed through a systematic rota.

Key Responsibilities

Rotational placements may encompass the following areas: Emergency Medicine (including Frailty), Acute Medicine, Respiratory Care, Stroke Management, Orthopaedics, Discharge Assessment Unit, and Rehabilitation Wards.

  • Assist Team Leaders in the daily management of the physiotherapy team.
  • Manage and treat an individual patient caseload while maintaining accurate records.
  • Conduct physiotherapeutic assessments for patients with diverse and intricate conditions, leading to effective diagnosis and tailored treatment strategies.
  • Assume responsibility for an independent caseload, operating with minimal supervision. Regular formal training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer reviews, and case discussions will provide support, with access to senior physiotherapist guidance as needed.
