Overview

Our focus within the CRM and loyalty division is to enhance our understanding of customers, which is essential for driving business expansion, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share, while fostering enduring customer loyalty. Your role will involve promoting customer registrations and encouraging ongoing engagement through targeted marketing initiatives for the Sainsbury's and Argos brands, as well as the broader Sainsbury's group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehend the strategic objectives and facilitate the execution of activities that enhance customer loyalty and contribute to overall business performance.
  • Identify, test, and implement innovative activity concepts and mechanisms to further enhance and optimize the loyalty program.
  • Collaborate with relevant agencies and internal teams to outline, develop, and execute plans across various channels, ensuring all initiatives are delivered according to established processes, within budget, and meet quality benchmarks.
  • Partner closely with the Analytics team to provide clear briefs and ensure precise forecasting, customer targeting, data selection, and analysis.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach in all communications and align content with significant events in the customer engagement plan.
  • Present campaign strategies and performance insights to stakeholders in appropriate forums, fostering support and comprehension of business objectives.
  • Assist the loyalty manager with tasks related to the evolution of our loyalty strategy and any additional projects as necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficient knowledge of CRM and loyalty marketing initiatives.
  • Proven experience in the comprehensive delivery of direct marketing campaigns from conception to execution.
  • Strong creative and communication abilities, with a solid understanding of proposition development, content strategy, creative execution, channel integration, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Comfortable interpreting and analyzing data analytics, enabling effective management of insights and recommendations based on outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of handling multiple timelines and processes while reviewing costs and performance to ensure operational excellence in campaign delivery.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee several campaigns concurrently.
  • Effective influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to convey results and insights in a manner that is easily understood by all stakeholders.

Success Metrics

  • Achieve the defined customer and commercial performance metrics.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting with expenditures remaining within budget.
  • Meet campaign KPIs, including sales, ROI, open rates, redemption rates, and points issuance.
  • Exhibit impeccable budget management, taking responsibility for prudent spending and issuing loyalty points.
  • Deliver campaigns punctually and within budget, ensuring thorough quality assurance.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders, particularly focusing on achieving excellent collaboration with the analytics team.
