Job Title: School Business Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated School Business Manager to join our vibrant school community at Wheatfield Primary School, part of The Leaf Trust.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the school's budget, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing regular financial reports to the Headteacher and Head of Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management: Manage the school's budget, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing regular financial reports.
  2. Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial plans to achieve the school's goals and objectives.
  3. Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to the Headteacher and Head of Business Operations.
  4. Procurement: Manage procurement processes, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
  5. Contract Management: Manage contracts with suppliers and service providers.
  6. Building Maintenance: Oversee building maintenance and repairs.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled School Business Manager who can provide excellent financial management and administrative support to our school community.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent relevant qualification with a financial focus.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in financial administrative work at a supervisory level.
  • Experience with budget control or associated financial duties.
  • Knowledge of procurement, contract management, and building maintenance.
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding practices, GDPR, and Health and Safety policies.
