Senior Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Management Accountant to join our finance team at Hand Picked Hotels. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing financial data and reporting management information for all hotels within the group and head office.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Coordinate and prepare accurate periodic management financial and KPI reports for all hotels within the group and head office, ensuring tight deadlines are consistently met.
- Payroll Management: Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and payments for UK mainland and head office sites.
- Payroll Analysis: Coordinate the analysis of payroll data and the production and timely issuance of insightful payroll reports to the wider business.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve processes and systems within the management reporting and payroll structure to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Financial Governance: Implement best practices in management reporting, ensuring financial reports and accounting practices remain in line with the latest USALI guidance.
- Asset Management: Manage and maintain the fixed asset registers for the group, calculate and record depreciation and amortisation in line with agreed company policies, and work with the Asset Team to ensure any asset disposals, gains, and losses are properly recorded.
- Team Leadership: Support, mentor, and coach the management accounting and payroll team members, identify any skills and knowledge gaps within the team and create training and development plans to close those gaps.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience in managing finance teams, ideally within the hospitality industry. You will have advanced user knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Previous work experience in the travel and hospitality industry would be an advantage, as would knowledge of Sage, Opera, and other hospitality software.
