About the RoleAs a Resource Controller, you will be responsible for allocating trade operatives, contractors, and sub-contractors to complete services and repairs within properties. Your primary focus will be on scheduling appointments for planned work, while also managing emergency call-outs when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with a team of Resource Controllers to ensure efficient and effective resourcing of repair appointments and materials deliveries.
- Schedule repair appointments based on operative skills, availability, and locality to minimize travel time and idle time.
- Plan ahead for future appointments, identifying potential issues that could impact meeting deadlines.
- Build and maintain relationships with trades operatives and sub-contractors.
- Manage relationships with suppliers of materials and third parties.
- Organize and plan work to be completed within agreed deadlines.
- Monitor job management system screens to ensure timely action is taken when required.
- Ensure a deep understanding of the end-to-end process of delivering excellent customer service.
- Capture and report issues affecting customer service, feeding back to the Lead Resource Controller for resolution.
- Assist with capturing key management data to understand service performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a level head and ability to adapt to change.
- Strong communication skills and experience.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good computer skills in MS Office.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying development needs.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance trades and tasks/activities.
- Understanding of the Portsmouth City area.
- Experience in an operational/logistical resourcing role.
