Position Overview:
Our esteemed client, Spencer Clarke Group, is in search of a Director of Nursing for Cancer Services to oversee their oncology division in Sussex on a 6-month initial engagement.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and Corporate Nursing leaders, providing strategic leadership to nursing staff and support personnel, ensuring the safety and well-being of both patients and staff.
- Compensation: £70 - £75 per hour
- Department: Cancer Services
- Location: Various Trust sites in Sussex as necessary
- Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract with potential for extension
- Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a prominent and respected leader, exemplifying and promoting the Trust's values and behaviors, celebrating achievements, and acting as a dedicated advocate for Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Professionals.
- Take charge of specific nursing corporate initiatives and manage designated nursing functions across the Trust's divisional framework, as directed by the Chief Nurse.
- Lead the enhancement of service delivery within the division.
- Be accountable for the divisional achievement of established Trust-level nursing objectives, targets, and quality benchmarks.
Candidate Profile:
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with a current NMC Pin.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding processes for children and adults.
- Significant experience in a senior nursing role (e.g., Matron) within an acute healthcare environment.
- Extensive expertise in the operational management of hospital services.
