Fire and Rescue Paramedic
Become a vital member of our team as a Fire and Rescue Paramedic, where your primary responsibilities will include responding to fire emergencies and medical incidents, conducting rescue operations, and managing various non-critical situations to safeguard lives and property. You will also be tasked with the upkeep of firefighting equipment, rescue vehicles, and station facilities, all while adhering to established protocols and working under the guidance of experienced fire department personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in accordance with established medical protocols
- Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote fire safety awareness
- Formulate pre-incident plans for various structures
- Maintain professional certifications and continuously improve skills
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in optimal working condition
- Conduct rescues and extricate individuals from emergency situations
- Support fire suppression efforts and protect property from damage
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Paramedic License and National Registry certification
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D. certificate
- No felony convictions
- Achieve Firefighter I/II Certification within one year of employment
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certification in Firefighter I and Firefighter II
- Successful completion of the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
