Job Title: Technical Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team at Venn Group.

Job Summary:

The Technical Architect will be responsible for designing and evaluating systems architectures, including infrastructure, storage repository creation, and system diagrams. They will work closely with the wider project team to effectively deliver solutions and act as an IT Infrastructure knowledge expert for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evaluate systems architectures to meet business needs and technological solutions.
  • Responsible for the physical design of technical solutions and formulating plans to deliver those solutions.
  • Work with the wider project team to effectively deliver solutions.
  • Act as an IT Infrastructure knowledge expert for the organisation.
  • Understand business and non-functional requirements and identify suitable architecture that best meets any relevant budgetary and/or timescale constraints.
  • Translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
  • Own the design and present it to the relevant governance bodies for review and approval.
  • Mentor and support BAU support staff and project resources.
  • Be the IT Infrastructure knowledge authority during defect triage and defect resolution.
  • Own the IT Infrastructure vision and strategy with the Head of IT Operations.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to minimise technical risk and business risk arising from technology and technical solutions.
  • Undertake detailed design reviews.
  • Identify appropriate and cost-effective physical architectures that provide resilience commensurate with business risk and impact.
  • Develop a roadmap for technical assurance in line with the organisation's 5-year strategy.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Technical Architect.
  • Previous track record with Azure.
  • Experience of migrating from on prem to cloud.
