About the Role

Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team. As a Technical Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and evaluating systems architectures, ensuring that our organization's IT infrastructure meets the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Evaluation: Design and evaluate systems architectures, including infrastructure, storage repository creation, and system diagrams.
  • Technical Strategy: Formulate plans to deliver technical solutions, focusing on building a technical strategy/roadmap as part of the wider IT strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work with the wider project team, including IT Project Managers, Advanced (Managed Service Provider), and IT Security, to effectively deliver solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as an IT Infrastructure knowledge expert for the organization, overseeing technology selections and implementation strategies suggested by partners.
  • Business Requirements: Understand business and non-functional requirements and identify suitable architecture that best meets any relevant budgetary and/or timescale constraints.
  • Architecture Solutions: Translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
  • Design and Presentation: Own the design and present it to the relevant governance bodies for review and approval.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and support BAU support staff and project resources so they meet their objectives.
  • Technical Risk Management: Provide guidance and oversight to minimize technical risk and business risk arising from technology and technical solutions.
  • Design Reviews: Undertake detailed design reviews.
  • Physical Architectures: Identify appropriate and cost-effective physical architectures that provide resilience commensurate with business risk and impact.
  • Technical Assurance: Develop a roadmap for technical assurance in line with the organization's 5-year strategy.
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience as a Technical Architect.
  • Azure Experience: Previous track record with Azure.
  • Cloud Migration: Experience of migrating from on-prem to cloud.
