Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our Surgical Institute as a Robotics Surgery Specialist. This is a full-time role that requires a strong background in robotic surgery and a passion for delivering world-class care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons in robotic surgeries, including prepping and draping, port incision, robot setup, and instrumentation knowledge.
- Participate in surgical procedures under the direction and/or instruction of the Consultant surgeon.
- Develop research-based practice and quality assurance in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and clinical audit.
- Facilitate junior members of the team with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD), setting goals, facilitating training opportunities, and mentoring as appropriate.
- Significant experience at a Surgical Care Practitioner level assisting surgeons through robotic surgeries, with experience in abdominal and pelvic surgery preferable.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical decision making, clinical surgical skills, teaching, critical thinking, coaching, counseling, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for team and individual improvement, skills and knowledge development, and engage staff in teaching and training.
- Eagerness to take autonomy in Robotics projects while utilizing collaboration with the Lead SCP and various consultants.
- Acting as a point of contact for Robotic surgery and services to optimize patient care.
