Senior Theatre Practitioner - Cardiac Theatres

Compass Associates is proud to be working with an award-winning Private Hospital in Central London, seeking an experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join their Cardiac Theatres Department.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Cardiac Scrub Nurse to lead the Theatre Department, providing expert knowledge and supporting junior staff. Reporting to the Theatre Manager and Cardiac Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Theatre Department, providing expert knowledge and supporting junior staff
  • Ensure the smooth running of the department, maintaining high standards of patient care
  • Collaborate with the Theatre Manager and Cardiac Lead to develop and implement departmental strategies
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, promoting professional development
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • RGN or ODP qualification
  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • Experience in scrubbing for cardiac surgeries
  • Experience with complex cases
  • Able to lead by example, promoting a positive and supportive team culture
  • Passion for high-quality care, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes
  • Motivated and professional, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
