Role Objective

The primary aim of this position is to deliver outstanding customer support while addressing intricate customer inquiries and requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver customer support through multiple communication methods, including chat, email, and phone.
  • Handle customer service tasks to resolve intricate and specific customer inquiries, providing tailored solutions for each case.
  • Collaborate with various teams within the organization to harmonize and integrate customer care processes.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement and propose recommendations for modifications in customer care practices, offering feedback and guidance to colleagues on these identified areas.
  • Develop and implement customer care protocols and controls to minimize risks and ensure efficient operations.
  • Address specific customer queries and issues related to the bank's offerings, including account details, transactions, and payments.
  • Create and present reports on customer care performance, communicating insights to senior internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements to adopt best practices aimed at enhancing customer care efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership Expectations
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through thorough assessments, supporting the control and governance agenda.

Join us as a Senior Test Engineer for Permissions at Barclays, where you will facilitate the acceleration of a new digital platform capability, transforming and modernizing our digital landscape to create a leading digital offering centered on customer experience. This pivotal role involves partnering with engineering and product teams aligned with business objectives, ensuring a collaborative team culture is integral to our operations.

Success in this role may be assessed based on critical skills relevant to the position, including extensive experience in creating, managing, and executing automated testing routines and scripts, as well as the ability to conduct testing throughout the entire development, implementation, and operational lifecycle using methodologies such as TDD, BDD, SBE, and ATDD. Proficiency in UI and API testing, as well as testing data integrations and connectors, is essential. Additional relevant skills include familiarity with Continuous Integration tools, experience with testing tools such as Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Junit, and Jmeter, and coverage in various test types including stress, load, spike, soak, volume, and capacity testing, along with previous exposure to security and penetration testing.
