Subsea7 is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Pipeline Group (PG) in the Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow office on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Planning and Control: Develop, maintain, and refine project quality plans and activities through effective participation in project meetings and liaising with project managers, PG technical discipline engineers, workshop and site supervision.
- Quality Assurance: Review client and international pipeline fabrication specifications and standards, generate and adhere to inspection and test plans, and monitor product and service quality on each assigned project at suppliers and sub-contractor facilities.
- Non-Conformance Review: Participate in the non-conforming review (NCR) process, including reporting of NCRs, identifying corrective and preventative measures, and facilitating NCR close-out.
- Root Cause Analysis: Participate in root cause analysis investigations for any Internal Quality Failures (IQF's) or Supplier Performance Issues (SPI's).
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in a similar role and understanding of global personal certification requirements for Inspection services, ideally within a rigid pipeline, subsea & offshore industry or an engineering or fabrication environment.
- Knowledge and Skills: Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of contract quality requirements, continuous improvement through NCR analysis and trending, knowledge management, and Risk Management. Good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability to prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management.
- Technical Skills: Experience of resource planning, data input and proficiency in the use of Microsoft office package specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power BI.
