Lead Barista Specialist - WH Smith Retail Holdings Limited

Smith's Family Kitchen features over 40 beverage choices, including hot, cold, and iced options, along with freshly baked goods, pastries, and convenient meal options for breakfast and lunch. We take pride in our commitment to supporting local businesses and providing valuable offers, loyalty programs, and discounts for our customers.

As a Lead Barista Specialist at Smith's Family Kitchen, you will be responsible for guiding and motivating your team to deliver outstanding customer service while fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and lead the team daily, ensuring customer service excellence is at the forefront of operations.
  • Demonstrate a passion for coffee and take pride in crafting the perfect beverage for every customer.
  • Maintain high standards within the store, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for both staff and customers.
  • Encourage a culture of learning and recognition, identifying opportunities for personal and professional development among team members.
  • Keep the team informed about store performance and proactively seek ways to enhance operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • A genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer experiences through high-quality coffee.
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader or Barista in a dynamic hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to energize and motivate the team to achieve outstanding service and performance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Experience in leading by example and actively supporting the team on the shop floor.
