About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team at the Poplar Farm Inn. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for leading a section of the kitchen, ensuring that your team is working together seamlessly, and providing exceptional food quality to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a section of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standard and that the team is working efficiently.
  • Train and develop your team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional food quality.
  • Support the Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation, and stock control.
  • Ensure that the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of health and hygiene.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop menus and improve food quality.

What You'll Need

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of food quality.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead a section of the kitchen.
