Development Editor Opportunity

At Inspired Selection, we are seeking a skilled Development Editor to join our team. As a Development Editor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commissioning editors by working closely with authors to ensure that books progress efficiently and to schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support commissioning editors in managing book projects from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with authors to provide detailed manuscript feedback and ensure high-quality content
  • Conduct peer reviews and market research to inform editorial decisions
  • Work closely with sales, production, and marketing departments to ensure seamless project execution
  • Manage projects independently and make a direct impact on the quality of published content
  • Develop strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the company at conferences and events, and present projects in internal meetings
