Join the World Bank Group Team as an Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. As an Accounting Analyst, you will play a key role in undertaking the Payroll and Accounts Receivable activities for the World Bank Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and undertake accounting processes in the Payroll and Accounts Receivable areas
  • Undertake internal control activities for Payroll and Accounts Receivable, including the annual Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) review
  • Play a key role in engaging with stakeholders on accounting policies, financial reporting, internal control, and business matters
  • Manage timely and accurate completion of periodic trial balances and year-end activities
  • Provide data analysis and reporting
  • Partner with the Payroll and Accounts Receivable teams in Chennai on the execution of work program activities
  • Participate in Business Continuity Plan procedures
  • Lead and participate in divisional and departmental projects and activities
  • Participate in internal and external audits and provide support for compliance attestations and other assessments
Requirements:
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant discipline with minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with a financial institution or a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant discipline is a plus
