Location: St. Albans Campus with travel to various sites

In this essential role at Oaklands College, the Director of Apprenticeship Programs & Work-Based Learning will oversee a dedicated team focused on fostering innovation and excellence in apprenticeship and work-based learning initiatives. This significant position calls for a proactive leader with a solid history in program management and stakeholder collaboration. The selected candidate will have the chance to influence the landscape of adult education in Hertfordshire through strategic development and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-achieving team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Design and execute innovative training programs.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with employers to improve training effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and quality benchmarks across all initiatives.
  • Remain updated on industry developments and policy adjustments for ongoing program enhancement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a managerial role within education or training sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing apprenticeship initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of the further education framework in England.
  • Relevant assessor certifications and expertise in core subjects.
  • Prior experience as an Ofsted Inspector is a plus.
