GSL Education is partnering with an outstanding SEND school in Bournemouth to find a dedicated teacher to join their team. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to students with a range of needs.
  • Using a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching strategies as needed to ensure all students are making progress towards their goals.
  • Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working with students with SEND preferred.
  • Knowledge of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including MLD, SLD, and PMLD, and experience implementing strategies to support these needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude towards working with students with diverse needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.

To be considered for this role, you should have the right to work in the UK, an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years, and a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
