We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to students with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
About the Role
The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working with students with SEND preferred. You will have knowledge of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including MLD, SLD, and PMLD, and experience implementing strategies to support these needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students with a range of needs.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed to ensure all students are making progress towards their goals.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with SEND preferred.
- Knowledge of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude towards working with students with diverse needs.
