As a Project Controls Manager at ETS Egis Transport Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of infrastructure projects. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and mitigate key project risks and constraints, providing valuable insights to inform client decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Cascade our behavioural safety strategy across all project aspects, promoting the well-being of our team and ensuring safe project delivery.
- Client Delivery: Lead the delivery of services to our clients, ensuring timely, within-budget, and safe project completion. You will directly deliver outputs, manage client relationships, and oversee the work output and quality of other Project Controls Specialists.
- Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project controls delivery, leveraging digital solutions or clear, accountable reporting cadences.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of project controls professions, managing relevant experts and integrating systems such as Primavera and BIM.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with the PMO Director to contribute to business plan development, meeting overall business targets.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project controls staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management. Ensure team members have annual objectives and personal development plans.
- Work Winning: Act as bid lead or bid support for Transportation tenders, ensuring Egis' Tender Unit has sufficient skilled project controls support.
- Utilisation: Ensure you and your direct reports are fully utilised to agreed targets.
- Finance/Business Management: Account for costs involved in delivering commissions and managing your team, staying within agreed budgets and participating in periodic reviews.
Requirements:
- Experience in infrastructure project delivery.
- Experience in project controls, planning, risk management, reporting, or information management.
- Proven track record of delivering major projects in a consultancy environment.
- Excellent people management and development skills.
- Strong business development skills with a history of winning work.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management abilities.
- Financial acumen and experience in project budget management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for project assignments.
