Position Overview

MA Recruitment is seeking a skilled Finance Operations Manager to join a dynamic and expanding small to medium-sized enterprise (SME). In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring precise and prompt financial reporting for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight: Supervise all facets of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while enhancing operational efficiencies and establishing robust controls.
  • Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Managing Director and Board, ensuring adherence to financial and budgetary policies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a finance team, fostering a collaborative environment to optimize financial performance.
  • Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of accounting records.
  • Audit Coordination: Oversee the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax, payroll, and VAT obligations and deadlines.
  • System Improvements: Drive enhancements to financial accounting and reporting systems.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Professional qualifications such as CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experience in a similar role at the Financial Controller level, preferably within a growing SME.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 to £80,000, commensurate with experience, along with a performance bonus of 20%. Additional benefits include:
