Key Responsibilities- Financial Oversight: Supervise all facets of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while enhancing operational efficiencies and establishing robust controls.
- Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Managing Director and Board, ensuring adherence to financial and budgetary policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a finance team, fostering a collaborative environment to optimize financial performance.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of accounting records.
- Audit Coordination: Oversee the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax, payroll, and VAT obligations and deadlines.
- System Improvements: Drive enhancements to financial accounting and reporting systems.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Professional qualifications such as CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Experience in a similar role at the Financial Controller level, preferably within a growing SME.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts.
- Advanced Excel skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 to £80,000, commensurate with experience, along with a performance bonus of 20%. Additional benefits include:
