BMW Group Plant Hams Hall Maintenance Planning Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our team at BMW Group Plant Hams Hall. As a key member of our Maintenance Planning department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our engine manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the transfer of large data-sets between IT systems.
  • Create maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Procure maintenance components to support our production targets.
  • Coordinate and steer the Target Management Process and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Define data structures and business-supporting reports to drive decision-making.
  • Explore innovative capabilities of data systems to implement 'Smart Maintenance'.
  • Utilize new technologies to ensure competencies within the team are kept current and continuously improving.
  • Implement product and process changes to improve facility maintainability and reduce downtime.
  • Steer the management of optimum asset life from concept to effective maintenance management.
Requirements:
  • Studying towards a 2:2 Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a relevant field.
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to show good inter-personal skills, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt working approach depending on specific requirements, prioritise activities, work under pressure, multi-task, and solve problems.
  • An excellent team player with solid interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office and Outlook, with knowledge of SAP advantageous.

  • A competitive annual salary of £24,950, with 26 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract) and an attractive pension scheme.
