Lead Wine Education Specialist - Veraison

Location: London

Berkmann Wine Cellars, the largest family-owned wine importer in the UK, has been dedicated to providing premium wines since 1964. Our clientele spans both the on-trade and off-trade sectors.

Veraison, our independent training division, specializes in enhancing wine knowledge for hospitality professionals. We offer a unique training program featuring custom-developed modules aimed at empowering staff with confidence in wine service and knowledge. Additionally, Veraison is an Approved Programme Provider for WSET courses, catering to our trade customers alongside our specialized training offerings.

In this role, reporting to the Wine Training Manager, you will be tasked with creating and executing tailored training plans for key accounts. You will deliver personalized Veraison wine training sessions and oversee the WSET program for both internal and external participants. Furthermore, you will play a significant role in managing various aspects of the marketing strategy, including social media engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in wine education, exceptional communication abilities, extensive wine knowledge, and a solid understanding of the wine distribution business.

Applicants must hold at least a WSET Level 4 qualification in Wines and be a certified WSET Course Educator. A full UK driving license is required, along with a willingness to travel throughout the UK regularly, and a passport for occasional international travel.

Working Pattern

This position entails a 37.5-hour work week from Monday to Friday. While core hours are from 9:00 to 17:30, some evening or weekend work may be necessary.

Work Location

Hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days in the office or at customer venues across the UK.
