Lead Wine Education Specialist - Veraison

Location: London

Berkmann Wine Cellars is recognized as the largest family-owned wine importer in the UK, proudly serving premium wines since 1964 to a diverse clientele across both on-trade and off-trade sectors.

Veraison, our dedicated training division, specializes in providing comprehensive wine education tailored for hospitality professionals. Our unique training modules are crafted to enhance the wine knowledge and service skills of hospitality staff. Additionally, Veraison is an Approved Programme Provider for WSET courses, extending these educational offerings to our trade partners alongside our specialized training sessions.

In this role, you will report directly to the Wine Training Manager and be tasked with developing and executing customized training plans for key accounts. You will deliver engaging Veraison wine training sessions and oversee the WSET program for both internal staff and external candidates. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in managing significant aspects of our marketing strategy, including social media engagement and promotional activities.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with at least two years of experience in wine education, exceptional communication abilities, extensive wine knowledge, and a solid understanding of the wine distribution business.

Applicants must possess a minimum of WSET Level 4 in Wines and be a certified WSET Course Educator. A full UK driving license is required, along with a willingness to travel throughout the UK, and a passport for potential international travel.

Working Pattern

This position entails a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. While core hours are from 9:00 to 17:30, some evening or weekend work may be necessary.

Work Location

Hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of three days spent either at the Head Office or at customer venues across the UK.
