About the Role

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team on a large-scale industrial project in the UK. As a key member of our collaborative multi-disciplined team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of this project.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the design process from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals, budget, and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and refine design solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Lead design reviews and identify and resolve design issues when they arise.
  • Maintain strong communication with the project team and client.
  • Ensure that design documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and well-coordinated with site operations.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Design Manager ideally working within a Tier 1 contracting environment.
  • Strong understanding of design processes, construction techniques, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiations skills.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving ability.
