Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coding Analyst to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust as a Divisional Lead Clinical Coding Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring junior clinical coding analysts, ensuring accurate and high-quality data production, and supporting their mental wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical coding experience across specialties in Acute Trust, experience with Patient Administration Systems and encoding software, and a strong understanding of Anatomy and Physiology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide efficient clinical coding to support the Trust's needs.
  • Act as an expert Clinical Coder providing guidance and leadership to the coding team.
  • Lead the coding team for a specific area of Clinical work, ensuring coding deadlines are met and staff adhere to coding standards.
  • Develop and implement coding training programs for the team.
Requirements:
  • National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC degree level).
  • Coding Foundation Diploma including specialty workshops.
  • Refresh course attendance.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
