Regional Director of Community Health

Reporting directly to the Regional Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Community Health will oversee primary care delivery and development at a regional level and drive improved interface and connectivity between different parts of the health system.
The Director will develop a coherent strategy for community care, drawing upon existing work already undertaken, focusing on addressing unwarranted variation and assuring good practices are introduced. They will also deputise for the Regional Chief Operating Officer as required.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive the delivery of primary care development and transformation.
- Deliver improved performance, efficiency, productivity, and transformation in primary care.
- Develop a coherent strategy for community care.
- Deliver improved performance, efficiency, productivity, and transformation in community services.
- At a regional level, deliver the primary care recovery plan.
- Take forward the community care-related recommendations from the report 'Operational Productivity: Unwarranted Variations in Mental Health Services and Community Health Services'.
The post holder will report to the Regional Chief Operating Officer and will be part of the COO's Executive Leadership Team. They will work closely with directors across the regional team as well as with each ICB, ensuring that government, patients, and the public maintain a high level of confidence in NHS-funded community and primary care services.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract from the date of appointment. Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only; agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the application.
